Again and again in our work we come across the word „soul“. We use this term frequently ourselves, especially along with the invitation to allow ourselves the support from our own soul, to sink into the safety and warmth of our own soul – to receive the love of our own soul. I realized that maybe it would be a good idea to try to clarify this term, and what it means for us and the spiritual work that we do.

First I would like to say that in my opinion the term “soul” is very important for an understanding of life in the New Energy. Without it – or a similar term – it would be hard to describe all the dynamics and spiritual physics that take place.

The word “soul” is used in many different environments and with many different backgrounds, and almost everyone has some preconceived notions when they hear this word – some more positive, some maybe more negative or fear-ridden, especially when it comes to church traditions and church teachings. In our seminars I realized that whenever the word “soul” was used, some people wouldn’t react at all, others would look puzzled or even irritated. In the ongoing discussion it has always been clarified what we mean by that word, but at first everybody of course has his very own ideas about it.

For me “soul” means the true essence of a human. It is a symbol of “All That I Am”, which also encompasses everything else beyond the bare human existence I might be aware of right now. “Soul” also is the source of everything creative, the source inside of me. This source is always there, even in the times when I might be occupied in my mind with a thousand other things and worries.

“Soul” for me is a symbol for the Divine Self in every human being. Some call it the “Higher Self” – but I actually don’t like that term very much. For me, there is nothing “higher” in the soul – this term often implies the feeling that someone who knows more is looking down on us, not really helping us, when we are suffering in our human life. “Deeper Self” might be a more appropriate expression, because the soul can also be seen as the basis or a deep current which holds our life, which holds a deep wisdom from all the experiences she has made.

So what does that all have to do with “Life in the New Energy”?

Life in the New Energy means a life which goes beyond the limitations of duality, beyond the daily fight for our existence. It is a life based on deep trust. And what do we trust in? We trust, that the deep currents of life and life energy hold more safety, more healing, wisdom and more natural evolvement, then we can figure out with our limited minds. That life holds a love which is unconditional and goes beyond anything we can imagine. And another word for this love is “soul”.

Some may not call it “soul” what I am trying to describe here. Some may call it Spirit, the “God Within” or simply “life”. It’s just a word - the important thing is the meaning it is carrying for you. I like the word “soul”, because for me it implies something very loving and very personal. The soul is a living being, a living consciousness. The soul rejoices and is excited in an unlimited way, when we start to feel and recognize her again. The same way we missed our soul over all these years, our soul has been missing us.

Our soul is nothing foreign or alien. Our soul is the home of the Divine Essence in us, and therefore there is nothing she can’t relate to in a very direct way. The only thing which prevents us from realizing that are our own limiting beliefs, which say for instance that “life on earth is hard and lonely and the Divine is far away”. But as soon as we decide that we can begin to let these beliefs melt away, our soul essence can start to move in again. And this will start to change our life and how we feel about it in a very profound way.

There is indeed no energy in the world which would be strong enough that our soul essence would not be able to allow it to flow or dissolve. Our Divine Essence is the source of all energy in our life, and so everything which we are releasing the control over and giving it back to our Divine Self can start to align itself again with the ever flowing stream of life. The natural state of all energy is flow and balance, and our soul carries that knowledge and wisdom within. The letting go of control and the releasing of energy is always just one breath away, in every moment of our life.

I also love to compare the energy of the soul with the energy of water. Water has the very natural ability to always find the easiest way. No matter which barriers or rocks lie in its way – water always finds its way, with a natural ease, beautiful aliveness and almost a dancing grace. This for me is a wonderful image and it helps me to feel and realize how our life as humans can be, when we stop listening to the voices of doubt and fear, which we have been listening to for such a long time, and start listening to the voice of our soul, who is always there, waiting patiently.
