It’s always astounding to me to observe how the energy of Sophia knows how to expand and reach people beyond everything my human mind would consider possible. One of these miracles happened recently when Wenche, a dear friend form Norway, started to translate the Sophia Channelings into Norwegian. She has created a special space on her website, just for Sophia.

I know how much work it is to create new websites and to maintain them lovingly. So from the bottom of my heart – thank you Wenche for this beautiful gift! Sophia has such a love for humans and especially for those who love to listen to nature, to the spirit of earth and water – and I guess Norway is a big part of that.

You can visit the Norwegian site here (Click on the image of Sophia to view the channelings.)

Or you can use our new “Norsk” button on top of this page.

Last week I received a beautiful email from a client who had a session with me:

"Dear Lea,

About two months ago I did a phone-session with you. It has been a great joy for me, it helped me to take a few steps that were very helpful for me.

You reminded me of being gentle and patient with myself. I've heard those words before, but somehow in this session I could feel it in the depth of me. After the session I've slept all day and had strange awarenesses in my half-sleep-half-awake. As if something was hitting me against my head real hard and a lot of feelings. I was glad that I slept almost through all the day.

[...]

You also invited me to dive deeper in the breath, to allow my breath deeper in my belly and to connect with the earth energy. This was something I had felt before, and something my soul had proposed to me. But it was something I was really afraid of. You reminding me, gave me the courage and trust to keep on breathing this deep. Even though there were voices that kept telling me it was bad, or unhealthy for my organs, even though intense aspects came up. And I am taking it one breath at a time, not overwhelming myself, but I do keep choosing to breathe deeper and connect with earth.

I have been living without an income for a period of time and before that I always had just enough and a fearful relationship with abundance/money/earth. After our session a lot has shifted in this area of my life. Connecting my breathing and my soul energy with earth, and allowing myself to do it in my way, my time, step by step, opened up the gate to my abundance.

I started feeling this first in myself. And I just knew I had opened my way to abundance, although I didn't 'see' it in my 3D world yet. So the greatest gift at first was the release of the fear of shortage. I started to experience trust instead of fear of shortage, while I was in the same situation.

Now I am only two months from the birthing of this new awareness and I see my abundance manifest around me. Babysteps, I am talking about the first time I could buy new underwear again, finally shopping in the supermarket without calculating if I can afford it (ffjieuw, such a release!), buying sport clothes for my running-hobby, being able to pay the dentist because of a positive change in my insurance-contract…

I have never felt so joyful in spending money and receiving before. (I just bought a mixer for making soup and I let the package stand in the kitchen, because every time I see it I feel so abundant, it is as if my soul is smiling to me through that package) But most of all I find out that what is my greatest abundance is that I see myself in earth. I am no longer hidden in some realm ''out there'', I am now more and more present on earth: And that gives me so much joy!!

So Lea I want to thank you for guiding me in such a profound way. You feel to me like a dear friend and I can feel from all that I am that I do deeply appreciate your Being and the work you do."

As humanity is going through a time of awakening our planet is changing also. Earth is currently shifting many of her old energies, changing her rhythms and weather patterns. This change can be very gentle or rather destructive - and the choice is ours. When we treat Earth as something separate from us, we block the flow of energy and we disconnect from her.

My invitation is to reconnect with the Earth. When humans form a loving relationship with the Earth, energies will flow very differently. This intimate connection to Earth has been a part of many old cultures and nature religions. People who held this sacred bond with Earth knew about the rhythms of Earth, how to shift energy and move in harmony with the changes that occur.

Today every awakened human can choose to connect lovingly with the Earth and receive her love. Through this deeper connection a new energy can be born. Energy shifts can happen more gently without major destruction and fear. While we are going through this time of change, take a moment each day to reconnect with the earth and align with her. You will feel stronger in your body, more grounded and your own energy system will be at ease with the change that is happening all around you.

Connecting with the Earth is not about saving the earth or going into any kind of drama. It's about opening up a long forgotten link of love that wants to be here again. Let your own home become a fountain of Earth's love. Create your own sacred space where the healing and balancing energy of the earth can be present for you and those around you.

Below you will find two audio files. The first one is my introduction and the second one contains the breathing experience. Feel free to listen to these and share them with those who might be interested. You can also download the audio files and save them on your computer. Today I'm wondering about several things.

How do we meet our emotions that come up in daily life? How do we meet fear, emptiness, loneliness, anger or worry? Most of the people I know meet them like unwelcome guests.

Oh my god, there is Mr. Fear again. I told him to stay away but there he is. Oh no!

We slam the door in the face of unwanted emotions. We stomp our feet like little children hoping they will go away. And sometimes it seems to work for a while. But they always come back.

They seem to want something from us. But what is it?

Actually I went through a phase with our dog, Noah, where he would always come and whine right when I was in the middle of writing something interesting. And part of me went: Not now! Not now! Come back later. But this is something he doesn't understand so easily. He just kept whining.

Finally something inside me said: Pick him up and hold him for a moment. So I took a deep breath and just held him for a moment. It was amazing. This moment of peace and quiet was actually good for me, too. I slowed down. And Noah seemed to need a sense of connection.

I know that animals don’t go into these more mind oriented energies like we do. So when the whole family is working on this computer thing it can seem to him that we are all gone. So he comes and asks us to help him feel connected again. Feel safe and at home.

After about two minutes he went back to his place and started playing with his ball. So all it took were two minutes.

When I heard him whining for the first time my mind suddenly showed me this horrible picture where I could never ever write again, but had to spend all my time sitting with a whining dog. Forever. And ever.

So the mind lies. It tells us, that if we open the door and meet our feelings, our partner, or even our children - we will be overwhelmed by them.

And in truth it’s the other way around. We tend to get out of balance, when we start evading our own feelings. The more we fight them, the more horrifying they become.

So this is important.

I decide how to meet my emotions. I decide if I open the door and meet them or slam the door in their face because my mind tells me to do so. And this is not a one-time decision. I have to marvel at people who tell me: I decided months ago that I want to live with my soul. I go: Great. For me, I have to make this decision every day, every minute, with every breath that I take. Because every breath is another decision to be with my soul.

Did you ever stop to ask the emotion that is coming up what it wants from you? When we slam the door it's rather hard to get why they come to us.

What does Mr. Fear want? What do I have, that Mr. Fear doesn’t have?

Mr. Fear comes to me, because I know where my soul lives. And he doesn't.

So he rings my door bell and he's a little dusty and looks a little ragged. When I stop long enough to hear his question, I can help him. Because I know where my soul lives. I don’t know this in my mind. I can't give him fancy words and great explanations. But what I can do is take some slow, gentle breaths until I feel the love of my soul.

Mr. Fear is getting excited. That’s it. I want that. That warm beautiful feeling, this is Home. I want to go there.

All right Mr. Fear, you can ride on my breath, right to my soul. And off he goes, breath by breath, dissolving into warmth and happiness. I can just hear him shouting: I'm home. Thank god. I found it.

And it makes me smile to feel the love of my own soul radiating though me. There is nothing more touching then to feel our soul welcoming home a lost child. She really missed Mr. Fear. And she kept looking for him, waiting for him to come home.

So when people ask me when this integration thing stops, I don’t know what to say. I love, that every day more of me gets to come home. More of me is being loved and connected to my soul. Is it really so bad? Is it so bad to grant the same love to all of me?

I don’t think so.

So I keep meeting my emotions, my many sides. Day after day they come to my door. Are you the lady who knows where the soul lives? And sometimes they scare me for a moment, because they have traveled so far and are so exhausted and dirty. But then I can smile at them and go:Yes, I'm the lady who knows the soul. You will be home soon.

Last weekend we did a seminar with the energies of Yeshua and Mary Magdalene. The place we chose - a little quaint village with a beautiful spiritual energy was ideal. Most attendees could stay in the hotel where we held the seminar, so there was plenty of time to talk and be together during mealtimes.

It was pretty amazing to me to channel these two energies. I was wondering in advance how it might work. But when we started and the energy began to flow all my questions just evaporated. I love the energy of Mary Magdalene. She has this powerful and honest feminine energy - like an energy from another time. It reminds me of earth, of gentleness, wisdom and love, all at the same time.

Both Yeshua and Mary seemed to be so happy to be able to teach together. More than once I had tears in my eyes just because their love is so extra sweet and special.

Our group was so open and interested in melding the feminine and masculine - but also in melding the soul with the human energy. Wherever we go - this is our underlying theme. And I am so glad to be able to share this with others.

We had plenty of new people who were with us for the first time and it touched me when they remarked that our seminars would be so "human". They told me about experiences with spiritual seminars where the human aspect of life was totally forgotten and they went home feeling empty and alone. I love my human self - so it's normal for me to laugh and to share silly stories about myself.

It was a beautiful weekend. And now I enjoy my two days off to relax and integrate all the sweet energies that came through.

I hope you feel well and take good care of yourself,

Lea

Sometimes there are moments, when we know that we need some quiet time, or some warmth, or just some compassionate understanding, yet we seem unable to receive it. We don’t take the five minutes, or make the cup of tea or stand still for a moment. We know we need something, but we just don’t respond to our own need. Why don’t we?

There are many reasons. Most people have been raised with the belief that it’s a sign of weakness to need anything at all. We hear our parents talking inside of us. You want to take a break again, you lazy girl! You just had a cup of tea, why do you need another one? Don’t be such a sissy and stop complaining.

When we hear these voices, we stop. All of a sudden, we aren't so sure any more if a break is the right thing. Even the cup of tea doesn’t sound so delicious any more. We hesitate and doubt ourselves. Mostly these conversations happen unconsciously, so we aren't even aware that we have them.

Sometimes we even try to cheat ourselves, just like our parents did. Did you ever wish for a specific toy and ended up getting a cheaper version that just wasn't the same? But the parents insisted: It’s the same. But in your heart you knew it wasn’t. So when we long for a piece of chocolate and instead give ourselves a health cookie- it's just not the same. We try to cheat ourselves, because we are terrified of our own needs.

Maybe later in life we went on a more spiritual journey and all of a sudden we labeled our needs as Ego. The bad Ego wants some attention. The bad Ego wants to take another break. The bad Ego wants some warmth and more cookies. Bad Ego!

Many mothers told me that they leave there babies crying often otherwise they would get spoiled. She has to learn that she can't get anything she wants. And so the baby keeps crying. And they learn that living essentially means pain, desperately longing for something - but never getting it. The logic of leaving babies crying might work. The baby might give up and stop showing us what it really needs. And thirty years later we have an adult who doesn’t trust, who cannot receive. We learned to disconnect from our needs.

Until we start to reconnect with our soul.

Our soul is the gentle, patient, abundant mom we never had. She has an abundance of time, understanding and love waiting for us. She loves to help us receiving. She loves to show us that our needs are not something strange and misleading, but they are honest and lead us on the path of our soul. If you have this kind of mom, it's fun to have needs. She already knows what you need even before you realize it. You just have to receive.

We do change our past Print E-mail

While working with a client, I heard me saying: See, now you are changing your past. She has had a horrifying early childhood and had great problems with her body ever since. There was never enough love and stillness so that she could really connect with her body. Until now. Now she is breathing and receiving the love of her soul every day.

Through breathing this love, her aspects that had been pushed away can melt and come home. While breathing with her I realized how much her life is changing. Until now she was a woman with a horrifying childhood who carried her wounded aspects around with her and had trouble with her body. By starting to receive love she would slowly heal her aspects and her body. She would become a different person.

We don’t have to stay stuck with what happened in our childhood. We don’t have to accept these wounds and difficulties as part of our personality any more. We can reinvent who we are.

I am loved. I am a happy child of my soul. I receive her love every day. I am well nourished and content. There is less crying inside of me. There is much more stillness, more ease and gentleness. I am rarely fearful and unsure. It hasn’t always been like that. I changed. And my life changed along with me. Every loving breath that I took writes a new story.

So in my opinion we can change our past. We can create and recreate our life every day.

While more and more people start changing their past, even science is catching up. I found a great article from Deepak Chopra about this topic. Science is still unsure and vague but shows us that consciousness is changing.

So this morning started just beautifully. Today is my day off. From time to time I take a random day during the week just for myself. It doesn’t mean that I don’t do what I like, like writing this for example. But it means no appointments, no groceries shopping, no doing my taxes or reorganizing my desk. It means not having to get up when I usually get up. And trust me, during the week this is much, much fun!

I checked my email and got this wonderful feedback for my new e-book. The nice person asked me if I thought about posting this e-book in another forum as well, so this particular group of people can read it. This question that he asked is very valuable to me, so I'd like to share my thoughts about it with you.

Many of you probably know this feeling of being part of a group, a movement, a club or an organization. During certain times in our lives it can be very soothing to know that we are part of this group. It's easier to say: We are all a little crazy. We all are doing this. Instead of admitting: I am doing this. Especially for spiritual people it can seem necessary to affiliate with certain groups, with a certain way of thinking, or just connecting with a spiritual teacher. Same thing. And as I said, during certain periods of your life, this can help you and encourage you to step into your own energy.

But there comes a moment, and this moment evolves naturally, where you no longer need "them". It's like your parents offering to give money and you smile, because it's so beautiful that they are there for you, but you no longer need it. This is the most beautiful experience for me. I no longer need it. I no longer believe that I am a small member of a bigger group. I no longer believe that I need the validation of others. This is a big step for me.

The Elephant under the Kitchen Towel Print E-mail

When someone says I just want to be me - what is this person really looking for? From very early on, we unlearned how to be ourselves. Instead we learned to hide, we learned to be quiet, to be normal and to be ashamed of our own expression. Sadly our uniqueness and most of our joy had to stay behind.

From my own experience I have selected the number one thing that we all have to learn: To let our own energy flow again. Children know how to let this innocent flowing of creativity, love and abundance happen. And as grown-ups we can learn to do this once again. There are things we can do to get comfortable with our own energy. That’s what this e-book is about. How to get from stuck to unstuck.

Why did I call this e-book The Elephant under the Kitchen Towel? For a long time I used this silly example: Hiding our own uniqueness is the same as trying to hide a huge elephant under a very small kitchen towel. It doesn’t work. As you can see in the image, the elephant is still very visible. The kitchen towel must be somewhere behind his huge ear.

One day we have to take another look at ourselves and embrace the astounding wonder that we truly are. This e-book is an invitation for you to let your energy flow again. Enjoy!

This e-book is free. You are welcome to distribute the e-book in its PDF-format on a non-commercial basis. Send it to your friends via email or post it on a message board. You can even put it on your own website so people can download it from there. You are welcome to use the cover image of the e-book you can see above. Just include my name and the link to my website (Lea Hamann www.eelea.com), that’s all! Let the e-book flow…

You can download the e-book by clicking on the image above or by clicking here. A new browser window will open and you can save your copy of the e-book.

It's in a PDF format so you will need Adobe PDF reader. If you don't have it on your computer already, just download it here. (It's free.)

How to let go Print E-mail
Articles - Lea's Blog
Written by Lea Hamann
Sunday, 18 October 2009 18:19

We all have things that we cling to. Some things are no longer helpful to us, but we still hold on to them. Like old habits or acquaintances that we feel pressured to call every other week although we don’t have anything to say to them. Sometimes it's even the stuff that piles up on our desk or in the storage space. Many people told me that they desperately try to let go of certain things. I try to let go of my past relationship. I try to let go of my habit of judging myself. I want to stop smoking and drinking and working too hard. But it just doesn’t work. I'm still holding on to it.

The most common approach to letting go is trying to do it by force. How many people do you know that quit smoking? And how often do they quit? Once a year, or every other week they get this intense feeling of shame and they try to convince themselves: This time I will beat this habit. This time I will be strong. This time, I will really quit. But forcing yourself never really works.

Have you ever really looked at someone who forcefully lost a lot of weight? Did you notice how hungry and empty they looked? Surely they dazzled you with looking different and wearing new clothes but have you ever looked beyond what they wanted you to see? After pushing the extra weight away from the body - where does the weight go? It just accumulates outside of the body and sits there. And this unhappy energy that got kicked out of the house - guess what this energy is waiting for? To get back in. So as soon as you are done fighting and running away from yourself, all the energy that you don’t like will come in again. Fighting doesn’t work.

A New Breath Print E-mail

Often the story of our breath had a rocky beginning. Many babies don't get the opportunity to let their first breath come naturally and gently. There is so much fear surrounding birth that most of us have been pressured and forcefully pushed to take our first breath. For a long time it was very common to hold babies upside down and hit them, to make them breathe.

Many people never took their first breath. It has been forced upon us. So from the very first beginning, life wasn’t something we chose, but something that has been chosen for us.

In my sessions I breathe with people. During this gentle breathing they sometimes remember their first breath. Sometimes this memory comes with very distinct physical sensations. It's amazing how aware we are seconds after being born. Many people remember quite clearly how bright they lights were, how loud and stressful the people around them sounded and how the first breath was pushed inside of them.

I am not a medical doctor so I don’t know the specific reasons for some of the physical stuff that happens when we force breath. But I am intuitive and notice how people react to being forced. Many people hold tensions in their lungs. To me it looks like all the natural energy pathways are tense and almost closed down. Many of them have lungs that never really had the chance to unfold in a gentle way.

One of my clients who has had asthma all her life experienced that the gentle breath helped her to let the traumatizing experiences of her first breath wash away. Instead of forcing her to breathe, we invited her to relax and for the first time she felt: "I want to breathe. But not the breath that is harsh and hurting me. I'd like to have this new breath, that is soothing and healing and good for my body."

After some time she found that deep in her lung there was tension melting away, the tender parts of her lungs kept unfolding and there was some cleansing going on. For the first time, she felt the deep joyful feeling of breath. It felt good for the very first time. Ahh, I can breathe. Her body opened up to life instead of fearfully shrinking away from it. She has much more energy now and her asthma is almost fully gone.

I wish people would notice that forcing someone to breathe doesn’t help at all. Just like forceful breathing methods bring up only more resistance. It's this new breath that is born in the stillness within you, a breath that is filled with the love of your soul, that really allows us to live.

It's amazing that nature even provides a natural space for us, a safe time for our first breath to come naturally. Right after we are born the umbilical cord is still working and sustaining us for a few minutes. So that we have time. So that we can start the transition into breathing gently. But in most hospitals it's standard procedure to cut the umbilical cord immmediately after birth and take away the safe space. They rather cut away the safeness and rush us quickly into breathing. That means that many of these babies will have to deal with the after effects of this traumatizing first breath later.

By washing away this breath that was not acceptable for you and replace it with a new breath you change the story of your life. You can rewrite your own story. The deep intimate connection that was missing between you and your life can start developing. This baby part of you that could never truly start breathing can receive the gift of a new breath for the first time. That is true magic for me.

Are you breathing? How does your breath feel for you?

Listen to a breathing experience online.

Yesterday a lady told me that she is about to start a new business as a massage therapist. She learned a lot in the courses she took and now she can't wait to start. Unfortunately she met some people with rather old beliefs about starting something new. 'You have to make a business plan first', said one person. 'Did you already register yourself as a massage therapist? Do you have a practice where you can do the massages?' The questions just kept coming.

This is how she felt before: Relaxed, curious, eager to start, maybe a little unsure.

This is how she felt after the avalanche of questions: Afraid, numb, paralyzed, ready to drop her new project.

So in a matter of moments, we can lose the true connection to what we are doing and get into a fear storm of the mind. Wow! And from my point of view I have to say that most people are constantly going around spreading fear. It's very likely that you will be met with fear and rejection while you start your new business adventure.

This summer one leaf of a potentially harmful plant was found in a packet of rocket (a very tasty kind of salad) in Germany. And Germany went crazy. Imagine what fear can do with one leaf of salad! During the whole summer nobody bought rocket. Fear can paralyze us. Fear can distract us from our own truth. So what can you do when you meet people that are more than happy to spread some fear and make you feel panicky? Tell them 'no thank you' and walk away. Don’t let them spoil the joy that you feel about new things that are evolving in your life.

During our session the lady came back to her original feeling of happiness about starting her new adventure. And instead of asking fear driven people what to do - she started listening to her soul. And her soul told her a different story. She discovered that her soul has a very simple and very truthful idea about starting her business. And it's not like everyone else would do it. It's not the linear path that the mind would like to chose (boring!). It's original. It's extraordinary. I marvel every day at the fact that everything I needed to start my work was a phone. And I already had that. All the other stuff, the website and my seminars - came much later without any struggle. It came because the time was right.

And where do you go, when you chose a doctor, a painting for your living room, an architect to build your house? Do you call Mr. Normal who does it like everyone else, who will cringe at everything that is not mediocre and grey? Or do you want to hire someone who has soul, who has character who is authentic and original? I would rather hire this person!

It's interesting that some so called business people advise us to do things that cause the opposite of becoming successful.

Find your own way. Don’t think it through too much. Let your soul show you the easy and graceful way. Maybe you feel self conscious at first, because so much of yourself becomes visible. But on the other hand - isn't that beautiful? We want to see you. Not another generic person who tries to fit in. So my thought of the day is: be original!

During the last week, many clients essentially asked: "Why does it take so long to connect with my soul? Why doesn't it just happen right now?" This is another peculiar thing about being on earth. Things seem to take more time down here. It's not enough that your mind knows that you want to connect with your soul. It takes time. Walking this path of reconnecting with your soul brings so many changes. Your body has to change to adapt to the presence of your soul. Your mind will step in the background and your whole mental system will be less important. Much more information will be processed on a new intuitive level.

All the parts of your life that have been attached to the outside world have to be turned inward to your soul. You believed that money has to come from the outside world? Now you can start receiving money directly from your soul. You believed that love and appreciation has to be given by your partner or family? Well, your soul wants to fill that space in your life from now on. But think about the magnitude of this change. How much trust has to be established before you can receive something from your soul? Would you let go of the control over your entire life and just hand it over to someone else? I don't think so. There is a deep trust that has to grow between us and our soul. Only then can we start to have this more intimate connection.

I would also encourage you to let go of past experiences with your soul. Maybe you had a flash of awareness of your soul some years ago that changed your life. This was beautiful, but you will never go back there. You and your soul have evolved. The natural process of becoming closer with your soul doesn't happen with thunder and lightning. It is a slow organic process. It resembles the slow and steady growth of plants. There are no flashes, it's just a beautiful natural process. We don't want to have these overwhelming flashes that disappear quickly. What we really want is a deep and permanent connection. Think about relationships. Would you rather have a one-night-stand that is very intense but doesn't fit into your life - or a long and fulfilling relationship that becomes part of your everyday life?

It's worth giving yourself more time. Don't rush this beautiful process.

The impatience of the mind that wants to make things happen instantly is not your best friend right now. Listening to your soul, enjoying the stillness within you and being proud of yourself are very good friends. Try to see the steps that you take every day. Try to become aware of your own growth. Receive what you can from your soul right now. And make peace with it. It's enough. Trust me!
