In the absolute stillness, in the absolute darkness the New is about to be born.

And how fitting it is that we gather here today to talk about all the New that is about to be born within your life in this now moment. The New, that needs the stillness and the darkness in order to arrive snugly and safely into this world. Because when something, especially something New and Tender wants to be born it needs a stillness, a darkness to ease its arrival. So many babies are born during the night or a big part of their birth process takes place during these hours because it is much easier to walk the path to this earth in this protective darkness.

And so I invite you to perceive that this season where we are right now, this winter time also holds something extraordinarily still and safe for you; provides a safe space for you and all the New that wants to enter.

You are invited to feel that there are things within your body that want to change; your life force energy wants to flow in a new way. And how fitting it is that you chose this winter time in order to bring in more of yourself. This time of darkness is intended for accepting more of yourself and bringing it into this world in a safe and relatively easy way.

You are invited to observe that this darkness stirs something within you. The darkness of winter, the short days that hold so little light touches something within you. They touch the place where things reach their fullness and come to an end. They touch the place where the new is birthed. They touch this place within you. The place where the old ends and the new begins has often been a place of great chaos, great pain and suffering. A place where many misunderstandings have occurred.

You see: on your journey as a human being you have forgotten how softly and gracefully the old may leave and the new may arrive. You have forgotten to feel that deep within this darkness a sacred metamorphosis takes place, deep within the winter, deep within your body, deep within your own energy.

As with the first light of dawn the New comes in a bit closer and the old fades a bit farther into the background. The old year draws to a close and the energy of the New Year begins to pour in.

The less that people are willing to let this feeling in the more strenuous and frightening this time of transformation will be. Because they will only feel a kind of pressure, a kind of urgency. They will feel as though they are caught in a tunnel without an end in sight. And so the beauty and the deep healing that is inherent in this transformation will pass them by.

I invite you to consider if you would like to feel this transformation that wants to happen on the threshold of the New Year. To perceive more deeply how the energy of the old year comes to an end, releases and begins to dissolve and how the energy of the New Year becomes more present and begins to fill more space with each breath. The energy of the New Year enters here and wants to be perceived and experienced.

And feel: How much easier is it to accept something New when you let it in consciously, when you choose it consciously and begin to open yourself for it in advance. How much easier is it to go on a holiday when you begin to open yourself for it a few weeks in advance. And we don’t mean making the outer arrangements like buying tickets or packing your suitcase but preparing your inner openness; this inner Yes for something new, this willingness to perceive the holiday or whatever New is coming to you and allowing it to enter your life.

This stillness that we need in order to experience this sacred metamorphosis is a very special stillness. It’s not a disciplined or forced stillness but a calm, clear stillness where the body can come to rest, where your spirit can come to rest and your inner feelings can surface. Where you can perceive what really wants to enter your life, what the next step will be that is waiting for you.

And right now in this winter time it’s not about taking steps in the outer world, making arrangements in the outer world but it’s about taking inner steps to prepare for the arrival of the New.

And you may observe where the new is already knocking inside of you and where you still find parts, aspects of yourself that are afraid of this new, that are scared and believe it will be difficult to do something New, that the added pressure will weigh you down, that you will fail. These aspects within you have a hard time letting the New enter softly and gracefully.

And we now invite you to remember the ancient wisdom of the feminine energy that can assist us to let go of the Old and let the New enter.

It is the ancient wisdom of the feminine energy that you also carry within that knows that there isn’t anything that you have to do, that knows you don’t have to struggle, that knows you may simply be and observe and enjoy how the transformation takes place within your life.

This year that draws to a close, the year 2009, had a distinctive energy. This year brought up many old wounds, brought attention to areas within you that have been hurting for such a long time. Once again you perceived that these wounds were there and maybe you even acted them out to some degree in the outer world. But this was all a part of this year, a part of this experience that wanted to invite you to let even these deepest inner wounds surface and bring them into the light of your consciousness.

Because as we all know: as long as we bury things deep within and try to forget about them, they cannot heal. But as soon as we are ready to meet even the most painful things and allow them be in our presence – then within that very moment healing can begin.

And so this was a stormy year both inside and out. A turbulent year where you entered into many of your inner abysses. And this was a big challenge for you and all the others who accepted the invitation.

And allow yourself to feel how much this year has changed you, how the love within you gave permission for the healing of even the incredibly deep wounds within you. And this doesn’t mean that there won’t be any others that want to surface or that you’ll never be hurt again because healing is a part of life. But this was an unusual year as you met especially intense injuries especially often.

And during this year some of you have learnt to accept support. Something that you couldn’t say Yes to for such an infinitely long time. A door that has been closed for so very long has begun to re-open. And as well as accepting outer support you have also begun to accept an inner support, namely the support of your own soul.

Throughout this life many of you have held an image of an ideal human who doesn’t need anyone, who is independent and strong, who is completely self-sufficient. And how much have you allowed this image to change this year? How much have you begun to accept support in a new way? To no longer be a lone wolf, to no longer suppress your natural need for love and safety and security or be ashamed of it but discovered that there is a love within your life that wants to support you, that sends you people to keep you grounded and support you, a love that brings back the feeling of being cared for, of safety and security.

Yes, this is about the return of your own soul to your everyday life. And this could all happen simply because you began to gently open this door again. You discovered that it doesn’t make you an inferior human being when you allow yourself to be soft and open, when you permit your soul to be there for you and to care for you. You discovered that it is okay to enter into a loving relationship with your own soul, that you won’t lose anything but only gain just as your soul benefits when you come close again.

So this was a year of great depths, but within this depth something fundamental has changed within you. An openness begins to blossom within you. An openness that wants to become established during the coming year as this connection to your soul is not quite mature yet. It wants to grow each day with each breath and anchor even deeper within you.

There are still so many aspects within you that long for the love of your soul. There are still so many areas within your life that want to be filled with the love of your soul. There is still so much space for the New that wants to arrive during the coming year.

And allow yourself to feel how a deep stillness enters as the energy of 2009 fades away. A deep stillness, a moment of absolute silence, of absolute stillness like the pause between two waves. This moment where nothing apparent is happening, but in reality so much is taking place.

Can you perceive the quality between these two years for a moment, the quality between these two different energies? Can you allow yourself a moment of time to feel this breath between the two waves, this moment of stillness, how this seemingly nothing may be a very special moment for you?

Some of you notice a deep inner weariness. A weariness that has been stored so deep and now the time has come where it may dissolve. And so you have the need to sleep a lot, to do very little, to drop everything that isn’t absolutely necessary and be completely with yourself.

You may also notice a kind of deep sadness, a deep melancholy, as if something is leaving your life, as if something is coming to an end before the New is really visible yet. And if you like, give this melancholy time, let it be there. There is no reason to be concerned about it. This melancholy isn’t an indication that you’ve done something wrong, that something is going wrong in your life. This melancholy is simply stirred within you by this particular time – this space that opens between the old and the new years.

On the other hand some of you may notice something else – an excitement, a lightness, a childlike joy, a delight in the small things, a wide range of new ideas and desires. And this energy serves a purpose also and may be allowed to be there.

You are invited to just be with all that surfaces within you during this particular time. Don’t doubt it or try to change it but perceive: it is a part of this deep inner healing that happens right now.

Your body also uses this time to purify, to let go of things, to exhale and to rest before the next step, before the New energy begins to enter your life.

And so we sit here with you and enjoy this sacred time of transformation, enjoy this now moment between the years, this moment of deep stillness, this moment of introspection and self discovery, this moment of connectedness, of change.

And of course we begin to feel the New approaching during this time. And if you allow yourself to feel the energy, the quality of the coming year, it will be much easier to let it arrive in a loving and tender way instead of becoming overwhelmed by a whole new energy. Who would want to go on a holiday suddenly and be confronted with an entirely different energy without having been able to say an inner Yes to it.

And so we invite you to lean back in this safe space, in this comfy, cozy, safe space and perceive the quality of the coming year, the quality that already sounds deep within you bringing a precious new invitation into your life.

First allow yourself a moment to feel this energy before we describe it in words. Allow yourself a moment to feel this precious new energy that begins to pour into your life; so pure and pristine, so clear and clean. A pure energy that is preparing to come onto this earth to hold and accompany her for one year; that is preparing to come into your life to hold and accompany you for one year as well.

This energy carries such love, such celebration; a new vibration for this sacred era. And it is difficult to describe it with words because this energy coming onto this earth can only be truly experienced and understood with the arrival of the New Year. Not until then will it unfold and show you the opportunity, the clarity and beauty this New Year brings.

And of course this energy doesn’t just flood uninvited into your life. But comes in as a potential and you decide how much of this you want to accept, how deeply you want to accept this invitation. You decide with how much of this energy you would like to experience next year.

And we would like to give you only a few hints because your own personal feeling for the New Year, your own perception of this new energy is much more important than ours.

And as we have already said this coming year will bring along an incredibly pure and clear energy that is very, very loving but also very, very direct. This purity has power. This clarity has power. And this clarity makes things happen as soon as you let it enter your life. This clarity reminds you of the purity within you, of this innocent, pure being within you that embraces all that you truly are.

The theme of the coming year is to bring more of this pure being into your life, to experience more of yourself, more of your own essence within the everyday activities of your life. To no longer hold back as some of you still are, to no longer be in the shadow of the New. This purity comes in to invite you to take the first steps within your own energy in a soft and tender way.

This purity also enters here to assist you in letting go of old patterns and structures. Those of you who find themselves still in old relationship patterns, old work patterns, old health patterns, will find that the coming year brings a deep opportunity to break out of these patterns, to let them melt away. Because this purity doesn’t accept the illusion of the destructive patterns but leads you back to a natural connectedness with yourself, with your body, with your relationships, with your job. This purity invites you to return to your own natural being.

And the earth will respond to this energy of purity also as she allows herself to return even more to her own natural rhythm, her own natural power, to a brilliant balance that belongs to this new era. And those of you who join in this transformation and realignment of our earth, who feel her and accompany her – you will perceive that this happens in a soft and tender way.

Each person has the option to reject this realignment although it will then appear to be something threatening and hostile. Those of you who begin to perceive and to welcome this realignment of our earth and human consciousness and get in tune with it will discover that this transformation couldn’t be more graceful and flowing than in the coming year. A graceful, flowing change that invites you to leave old patterns behind and return to the true nature of your essence, your natural rhythm, your natural talents, your natural passion, your natural expression, your natural relationship to your own soul.

This year brings along so much purity and naturalness. And as always you can choose for yourself how much you want to let in, how much you want to perceive the gift, the love, the blessing of the coming year.

On the global level this year also invites politicians and nations and social systems to return to a new natural balance and where old hatred still rages, where old conflicts still smolder beneath the ground, where an unnatural poverty exists or unnatural riches – we don’t want to call it wealth – but greed and fear – in all these areas the energy of the new year will touch human beings, nations and societies and invite them in a very powerful way to return to trust, to a natural balance.

You will observe new inventions in the coming year that are all based on this concept of naturalness. Inventions that include nature, natural rhythms, natural energy; that flow with life instead of against it.

And it is really a wonderful opportunity, an opportunity for all of humanity to let your society, your consciousness become softer, gentler, more natural. The beauty that you sometimes see within native people who are much more rooted in this naturalness is similar to what the coming year wants to bring you.

Of course that doesn’t mean that you have to live in a tent in a forest but that you begin to return to a naturalness within you that will increase throughout this coming year.

There is one more significant point that will be important for many of you during this coming year and that is the beginning of your own work. And we use the term “work” here because there isn’t a new word yet that’s more suitable. And by “work” we certainly don’t mean the old kind of slave labor that you do only to survive but this vibrant, joyful expression that brings abundance and appreciation and love into your life. And for many of you this coming year is the time when something that has been ripening for so long within you is finally ready.

And for many of you this coming year is the time to take a new approach and no longer wait for something to come to you from the outside but to feel that you are the one who begins. Not because you have to, not because it’s expected of you, not because it’s the right thing to do. But solely because it’s time and the joyfulness within you desires expression.

And so this coming year will be a year of rebirth where many new businesses arise, where new creativity comes onto your earth, where a new dimension is added to the world. Because as each human being begins to allow their own expression a new perception, a new potential is added to the world. And contributing to this new potential will keep you busy and will challenge you but also fill you with a very, very deep happiness.

Your own work you’ll soon discover is something within you that has sought your attention for a long time. And for those of you who have already begun your own work you’ll find that an even deeper level becomes visible and wants expression during this coming year.

This year that approaches is a pure, still, natural year. It is a year that will open so many new perceptions and potentials for humanity. And you are invited during this time where the New knocks very tenderly within you – you are invited to be in stillness, to be with the New and to observe how this deep transformation, this natural transition from one year to the next takes place on this earth.

And so you are invited to observe in loving stillness how a new year begins.
